We have moved to the Great Outdoors

7 puppies fill a 5 x 4 foot box pretty quickly.  For the previous few days they spent their days on the back deck and came in at night.  Yesterday, at just over 4 weeks, they moved to the puppy pen outside....
It did not take them long to get used to the feel of shavings and grass and straw and dirt under their feet and soon they were romping and exploring!  Here are a few photos I took this morning.  As usual, they play hard, then sleep wherever they land.
I miss having them in the house in their box right next to my desk and underfoot in the kitchen.  So, now I get even LESS work done as I am outside in their pen playing with them as often as I can.

 Here's looking at you !

3 WEEKS AND GROWING STRONG

 CROWD THE CORNERS
 FIRST PUPPY FOOD
When I start feeding puppies I chose to put it on a towel rather than in a bowl; they don't slide around in it and clean-up is easier as they aren't all sloppy from the mush.  They LOVED it from the very first; their teeth are coming through now.  Mom has done a great job bringing them to this point and she will continue to nurse them for a few more weeks.
Yes, that little sister is laying on her brothers head
Fed, clean and ASLEEP!

Lulu and Uno's puppies arrived on August 15th

Lulu gave us 7 healthy babies in the wee hours of the morning on August 15th.  She had 3 girls and 4 boys.  This being her second litter, she knew just what to do and I only assisted with a couple of the births.  She is such a good mom; I am very proud of her.
I love the way they curl around their babies

 growing
belly up to the milk bar....you can see how they have grown.  Lulu has milk enough for all!

The pups are just 2 weeks today and their eyes and ears are opening.  Soon they will be playing clumsily with each other and I can't wait to see those first tail wags and recognition of ME when I crawl into the box for my puppy love.  It won't be long now!

Here are a few more pictures from our fun puppy party.  These came from Jimmy who traveled the farthest with his dog, Molly.  She is a trained service dog and also visits nursing homes and hospitals.  She loves her job of making people dog gone happy!

These were sent by one of the attendees.  She brought two Wyntercreek pups all grown up.  Thank you for sharing the photos Deb!
